This special debate will work through the ins and outs of one key question: should Australian design be manufactured in Australia? It will look frankly at the intricacies of helping creative industry to flourish, with particular focus on the following: the romance of localised production; the issues of ethically and sustainably manufacturing offshore; and the troubles of funding and growing new businesses.

With industry leaders facing off, this debate promises to be engaging for designers and the purchasing public alike.
