Amy is a lawyer in our Music, Film & TV and Digital Media groups.
Amy advises on a range of commercial and contentious matters, including transaction and business structures, the sale and protection of intellectual property assets, corporate governance and strategic corporate matters, establishing and registering not-for-profit organisations, and all aspects of the music industry. She has represented a variety of clients in the arts and entertainment space, such as musicians, managers, music publishers, record labels, tech start-ups, book publishers, talent, film and TV production companies, and not-for-profit arts organisations.
Amy brings a high level of commercial acumen to her role at Simpsons, having previously worked as a corporate lawyer at a top tier global law firm. In that role, Amy specialised in advising ASX listed energy and resources companies on complex compliance and regulatory matters, equity capital markets and mergers and acquisitions.
Amy currently sits on the board of Youth Ballet WA Inc, a not-for-profit organisation that provides dance education and performance opportunities to underprivileged young dancers. She is also a member of the NSW Young Lawyers’ Communications, Entertainment and Technology Law Committee, and has guest lectured at the Australian Institute of Music’s Arts Management course.
Amy holds a Bachelor of Laws (with Distinction) and a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in Philosophy.
