Shariqa’s practice covers both contentious and non-contentious matters, including copyright and trade mark enforcement, trade mark prosecution, anti-counterfeiting, domain name disputes, litigation, contract review, IP advice and due diligence. She has worked closely with the brand protection and development teams of some of the world’s most renowned consumer products, technology and software, fashion and design brands.
Prior to joining us, Shariqa was part of the intellectual property, technology and competition team at one of Australia’s largest national law firms, Corrs Chambers Westgarth.
Shariqa holds a Bachelor of Medical Science and Bachelor of Laws and is a member of IPSANZ, the Intellectual Property Society of Australia and New Zealand. She is also passionate about social justice and has been involved in several pro-bono initiatives such as legal clinics for prisoners and the homeless and children’s literacy programs.
