Congratulations to Shane Simpson, who has been appointed as Chair of the Board for the Sydney International Piano Competition.
The Competition brings together 32 talented pianists from around the world to compete in Sydney at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music. The Competition, which is internationally recognised as one of the world’s great piano competitions, is preparing to celebrate its 50th anniversary.
Reflecting on his appointment, Shane has said, “The 50th anniversary is a moment to honour that extraordinary legacy, but it is also an opportunity to look forward. I am delighted to work with Piers Lane, Mark Coughlan, my fellow Directors and the wider community of artists, supporters and partners to ensure the Competition has the strength, reach and sustainability to flourish for generations to come.”
